"Don't be alarmed," he said.  "you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified.  He has risen! He is not here.  See the place where they laid him.  But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee.  There you will see him, just as he told you.' "

ALPHARETTA COMMUNITY BANK

Alpharetta, Georgia

On February 22, 2005 Alpharetta Community Bank held an Open House and Grand Opening Celebration for their new facility at the Parkway 400 Office Park on Old Milton Parkway.  The two story, 15,000 square foot bank building was built by Hogan Construction for $2,400,000.  The Myrick Company was the project manager for the Bank.

The classical style was chosen to establish an architectural standard for the Buckhead Community Bancshares family of banks, as well as to fit in with the traditional architecture of the Alpharetta area.

FEATURED ARTICLE
Pitfalls in Cost-Plus Contracts by Robert C. Foreman

Traditional bidding is giving way to other means of pricing and project delivery. More clients are using negotiated cost-plus contracts, many with a guaranteed maximum price and some with a savings split. In separate articles we have examined and compared the advantages and disadvantages of the various construction delivery methods including the traditional design-bid-build, design-build and “partnering” where the A111, Cost –Plus Agreement is used.

The cost-plus contract can be the best choice for many clients when certain conditions exist.  However, they may also present difficulties for some Owners who are not familiar with Cost Plus Agreements.  They can also be used by some contractors to increase their fees at the unknowing expense of the Owner.

For a more extensive discussion on cost-plus contracts, read the entire article on the FSFarchitects.com website.
