"I urge, then, first of all,
that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone
- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and
quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases
God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge
of the Truth." Be in prayer for the leaders of our country in this time of potential conflict and for our upcoming elections.

| CORNERSTONE
BIBLE CHURCH
Lilburn, Georgia |
|||
| On November
3rd, Cornerstone Bible Church, on Cole Road in Lilburn, will dedicate its new building. The
building is an addition to a existing church building purchased as part of a
relocation.
The flow of spaces and future expansion make this building unique. The existing sanctuary has been converted to a fellowship hall and is separated from the new sanctuary by two classrooms created by operable partitions. The three spaces may be opened into each other, thus creating overflow for either sanctuary or fellowship hall. The 300 seat sanctuary is also designed to be expandable to 500 by removing classrooms from the rear walls. Other spaces in this addition are restrooms, spacious foyer and corridors, and a new youth area. Existing offices were also renovated. The building was completed by Charles S. Miller Construction for a construction cost of $1,800,000. Visit other church projects on our website. |

Strategic Planning: A Paradigm Shift in Ministry Planning by Strategic Consulting Group To introduce the unique concept of
financial strategic planning, it is first important to describe a
progression witnessed over the years in the way that ministries define
their visions. Several years ago, it was common for growth ministries to
define their ministry/programming plans in short, or tactical terms,
usually over a one-year period. Today, most growth ministries have defined
their ministry/programming plans in a strategic manner, or over long-term
periods. They understand "who they are" today from a programming
standpoint, and are able to articulate "who they want to become"
along with an implementation timeframe over several years. In contrast, the financial strategic planning process we have developed proactively defines what it will take financially to accomplish a ministry's long-term vision, including the financial needs associated with not only the capital outlays of the vision, but also the financial requirements derived from the ministry/programming strategic plan. There are a couple of reasons that supports the execution of a financial strategic plan. First, if a ministry is already thinking strategically about its programming and capital needs, then this financial process will complete the planning circle, allowing the ministry to fully leverage the benefits of long-term planning. Secondly, the dramatic growth in the overall size of ministries today has led to a substantial increase in scope, or capital outlays, associated with any given phase. It is therefore important to explore, identify, and understand the financial implications of multiple phases of development. To see a list of key benefits obtained and questions answered by this unique process, please read more about Strategic Financial Planning.
